Fan Luo Jia didn’t respond, “Hai Dong Ge, why aren’t you looking at me?”
“Looking at you means I won’t be able to eat! Be good, it’s getting cold, and if you catch a cold, Hai Dong Ge will feel heartbroken.”
Fan Luo Jia still remained unmoved, “Think about ‘Swimming Competition Peak’, how can you swim if you catch a cold? Are you going to abandon your role?”
Taking his time, Shuai Chang slowly grabbed the clothes; when he saw Fan Luo Jia dressed, he walked over and wrapped his arms around him as they sat down.
“Don’t be gloomy; you know your own charm. It’s hard for me to keep my composure when you dress like this; dressing like this today is like taking Hai Dong Ge’s life!”
“Hurry and eat; even food won’t be able to shut your mouth.” With Shuai Chang pampering him, Fan Luo Jia’s temper continued to grow. Shuai Chang wasn’t bothered by anything he said, and Fan Luo Jia spoke freely with him.
At that moment, his pouting, angry appearance only appeared cuter in Shuai Chang’s eyes.
Shuai Chang occasionally fed him bites of food, and the two quickly became affectionate with one another.
The Yin family’s base is in Country D. Shuai Chang planned to take Fan Luo Jia to meet the Yin family and announce their relationship after he finished shooting ‘Swimming Competition Peak’.
Although same-sex marriage is now recognized internationally, it is still a taboo in some strict big families.
Yin Hai Dong’s family is one of them.
Therefore, before going to the Yin family, Shuai Chang had to give Fan Luo Jia some leverage.
After a harmonious and pleasant night, Shuai Chang went to the company feeling refreshed the next day.
He had been silently following the news in the entertainment circle and a week later, the cast list for ‘Swimming Competition Peak’ was released, and Shuai Chang was surprised to see Cen Yue Ran’s name on it.
He hadn’t yet addressed the previous matter with Fan Luo Jia; the two quietly came together again.
That evening after work, Shuai Chang enthusiastically spent time with Fan Luo Jia. The more they engaged, the more excited Fan Luo Jia became, leading to them being active until dawn. Unsurprisingly, the next day, Fan Luo Jia looked worn out.
“What is going on with Cen Yue Ran? Isn’t he a dancer? Why is he acting?”
Shuai Chang scooped a spoonful of porridge, blowing on it before bringing it to Fan Luo Jia’s lips.
Fan Luo Jia had several cuts on his lips, and the porridge made them sting. He glanced at the source of his trouble, “I recommended him. Brother Yue Ran is very talented.”
Shuai Chang felt sour and put down the porridge, “Brother Yue Ran? You’re calling him so intimately.”
“Hai Dong Ge~” Fan Luo Jia rubbed his cheek against Shuai Chang’s hand. “You are different; I genuinely regard him as an older brother.”
I used to regard you as a younger brother too, but hasn’t that line already been crossed?
Shuai Chang said, “You’re now a married man; I don’t care about anyone else, but you must keep a proper distance from Cen Yue Ran.” It’s too easy to make mistakes with brotherly and sisterly terms.
“Hai Dong Ge,” Fan Luo Jia called him.
“Mm?”
“Your jealous look is so handsome~” Fan Luo Jia covered his face.
Shuai Chang remained unmoved, “Your husband is so handsome, yet he can’t keep you; you must tell me when you film with Cen Yue Ran in the future.”
“Okay, okay, I will definitely tell you, husband~”
Seeing Fan Luo Jia smile like a cat who just stole a fish, Shuai Chang couldn’t help but suspect he was doing it on purpose, trying to make him jealous with another man.
Though Shuai Chang’s office is at Yin’s Film, he manages the operations of several companies. Recently, the older generation of the Yin family plans to retire and pass along positions, and as the eldest grandson, Yin Hai Dong inevitably has to take on heavy responsibilities.
While Fan Luo Jia filmed, Shuai Chang was extremely busy and finally managed to carve out a day to visit the set.
According to Fan Luo Jia, Cen Yue Ran played his brother in the film. When Shuai Chang arrived at the scene, the two were performing a scene together. He wondered if it was the makeup, but they really looked somewhat alike from a distance.
At noon, he took Fan Luo Jia out for lunch, but Fan Luo Jia insisted on inviting Cen Yue Ran along, and the three of them ended up at a Hunan restaurant.
Hunan cuisine is known for its sourness, spiciness, and richness. Shuai Chang ordered their signature dishes: Dong’an chicken, golden fish playing in lotus, blood duck from Yongzhou, mixed cured meats, sisters’ dumplings, Ningxiang snake, Yueyang ginger-spicy snake, and chopped pepper fish head, filling the table with eight dishes.
Fan Luo Jia was afraid Cen Yue Ran would feel awkward, so he sat next to him while Shuai Chang sat across from them.
He often made snide remarks when out of earshot, but in front of them, he acted very gentlemanly, pouring tea for both and inquiring if they had any dietary restrictions.
“Brother Yue Ran, this is Yin Hai Dong, my boss. Hai Dong Ge is very approachable; don’t feel constrained.”
When Shuai Chang came to visit the set, Cen Yue Ran didn’t suspect their relationship. After all, Fan Luo Jia was the cash cow of Yuejue Entertainment; it was quite normal for the big boss to visit the crew.
“Ruo Jia, try this; it’s delicious.” Shuai Chang used public chopsticks to serve food to Fan Luo Jia.
Having tasted it, Fan Luo Jia agreed it was indeed good, “Thank you, Hai Dong Ge.” He then served some to Cen Yue Ran, “Brother Yue Ran, you should try it too.”
It was because of Fan Luo Jia’s serving that Shuai Chang’s gaze kept darting to Cen Yue Ran.
Cen Yue Ran was handsome and came from a prestigious family; he was a perfect candidate for a wealthy son-in-law.
Cen Yue Ran was naturally gay, and Shuai Chang’s oppressive gaze made him unable to help but blush, shifting uncomfortably.
“How did Yue Ran come to think of acting?” Shuai Chang asked casually.
Cen Yue Ran smiled gently, glancing at Fan Luo Jia beside him, “I started dancing in elementary school and never knew what else I could do besides dance. It was Ruo Jia who said I have talent for acting, so I thought I would give it a try.”
To be able to go straight to shooting a movie just by giving it a try, Cen Yue Ran must truly have talent.
Once the conversation started, Cen Yue Ran was no longer as restrained as at the beginning. He voluntarily shared funny stories from his time studying dance abroad and participating in competitions, while Shuai Chang listened with a smile, nodding occasionally.
Fan Luo Jia initially didn’t feel anything, but when he noticed Cen Yue Ran glancing at Shuai Chang more than once, his gaze contained a hint of shyness that made Fan Luo Jia’s heart tremble.
After lunch, Shuai Chang had to rush back. He drove the two of them back to the film set.
When they arrived, Fan Luo Jia didn’t get out of the car immediately. Seeing that he hadn’t moved, Cen Yue Ran also felt awkward to open the door.
“Hai Dong Ge.” Fan Luo Jia called him, his voice carrying a hint of flirtation.
Shuai Chang couldn’t help but look back. Fan Luo Jia leaned in and gave him a quick kiss on the lips with a “smack”.
